Utility Program & 2010 Chapter
Project Awards Night February 3, 2010
“This is not your Dad’s Energy Efficiency Programs…” could very well be the theme of the upcoming February Chapter meeting. In 2010, Energy Efficiency Programs budgets and energy saving requirements have been increase quite dramatically compared to just last year. Millions of dollars being infused in the market in 2010 from these programs and utility customers are proactively seeking out energy efficiency programs as a viable and necessary mechanism to offset high energy costs and to optimize their facility usage. Utility programs are constantly being challenged to remain on the cutting edge and to expand their offerings beyond traditional energy efficiency programs. Expanding the menu of proven cost effective measures and strategies has taken on a pivotal role in helping end users seek out opportunities to reduce energy costs by implementing energy efficiency measures and strategies.
As such, the New England Chapter of AEE is pleased to announce that one of the most popular and well attended annual events, Utility Program Night, will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. This event offers representatives from local utilities, energy efficiency program administrators, the opportunity to present energy efficiency programs available to their customers, provide updates on incentive budgets, and discuss their efforts to better address the various trends in the market. Come and get to know these programs. Invite your customers, the end user, to come meet the men and women who administer these programs, and how you can participate and help in delivering them. Again, this meeting consistently has an outstanding turnout. Please reserve in advance so we can accommodate everyone interested in attending. Additionally, at the February Chapter meeting, AEE-NE will announce the winners of the 2010 AEE-New England Chapter Project Awards. Recipients of the awards will be formally saluted at this meeting and will receive a distinctive AEE plaque or an Honorable Mention certificate commemorating their achievement.
